I just love chatoyant stones, and Kyanite is a great example of this. It shimmers inside the stone, and the light dances on the rose-cut, lustrous facets as well. It's a gorgeous blue that is revealed in the sun light.
 
I spent time making the granulation accents by using my torch and hammering the molten silver, and I layered the silver backing to give a deeper dimension to the piece. I love how it turned out.

I've also added a high quality 18 inch sterling silver wheat chain to the piece.
